Currently I am doing a project on why Zetland teenagers would like to go on a space trip. As part of my project, I have found some results of a relevant survey, and in this essay, I will describe the data and express my opinion on the subject of the project.   

According to the data, “To experience something unique” (45%) is the most common response to the survey question “Why would you like to go on a space trip?”. The second most common response is “To see the Earth from outer space” (28%). "To make a scientific discovery" (2%) ranks the lowest.    

Predictably, the figure for “To make a dream come true” (15%) is more than seven times as high as the figure for “To make a scientific discovery” (2%). It is evident that young people do not think about scientific discoveries and would like to go into space for personal experience and emotions.  

Regrettably, there can be some problems with people going into space. One of them is the negative psychological impact of long-duration space missions. Astronauts are isolated on spacecraft for long periods of time, which can lead to feelings of psychological stress. This poses a significant challenge to the mental well-being of astronauts. A good solution to this problem is implementing comprehensive psychological support systems, including regular communication with mental health professionals on Earth. 

In conclusion, I firmly believe that space exploration is crucial as it offers a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our universe, from studying celestial bodies to discovering potentially habitable exoplanets.
